About me
Catharine Shepard, the President of Senior Care Referral Specialists, Inc. has been an eldercare consultant for over 20 years. Her company has assisted thousands of families throughout most of Southern California in their search for appropriate senior living and care, and are a resource for many senior industry and care professionals, who refer to them frequently.
Catharine grew up in a home with her grandmother living with her family until she needed a level of care that could not be provided at home. Her first volunteer position in junior high school was in a nursing home, where she continued developing a love for the elderly. Her background in human resources, and training and development in various fields, led to a career in healthcare, where she has been responsible for the training and management of many eldercare consultants before starting Senior Care Referral Specialists, Inc. She is highly engaged with their clients and has a wealth of knowledge about care options, costs (and ways to help potentially offset costs), as well as regulations that impact care decisions.
