About me
Carol Katz began the process of placing a loved one into a senior care community several years ago. Soon after, a number of friends who needed to do the same approached her for help. At this point, Carol realized that many families struggle with understanding senior care and finding it for their loved ones. She also realized that talking with others about the process and the experience can make it easier. In 2009, Carol Katz and her daughter Dina Frauwirth began Adult Care Advisors with the mission of helping families receive free advice about elder care and assisted living in general. Carol and her team have been serving their community by offering useful advice and valuable resources about senior living care facilities. Carol also spends time volunteering on the first aid squad, as well as working on the domestic violence intervention team.
Dina Frauwirth’s passion for engaging the elderly and empowering them to make their own choices motivated her to found Adult Care Advisors in 2009 with Co-Partner Carol Katz. The company serves clients and families in need of advice about senior care in the tristate region and provides guidance through placement, facilitating smooth transitions into assisted living, continuing care communities and nursing homes. The company has helped over 10,000 families find appropriate care options that align with their want and needs. She has served as a senior care consultant on WOR IHeart radio and been published in Change Your Attitude Change Your Life Magazine. Prior to founding Adult Care Advisors, Ms. Katz held senior positions in skilled nursing homes in New York. Ms. Frauwirth studied Gerontology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a Certified Senior Advisor and Certified Dementia Practitioner.
