Monarch Landing

Thank you so very much for the great time I had at my Monarch Staycation. I can tell that you put a lot of time & effort into the schedule to give me a great feeling of what Monarch is all about. The food was wonderful. The servers are the best I’ve ever seen, especially Josh, Thursday dinner server. He anticipated all our needs, offering other options for my granddaughter because she is allergic to dairy. The Spanish Tapas dinner with music was wonderful as was the “Cruisin’ with the Loop” concert. When my granddaughter was put into her car seat she said that she wanted to go back “there” (Monarch} instead of going home. Looks like she really enjoyed herself. Thank you, again. Paula

ML’s selling point is that there’ll never be a reason for you to have to move out. Not true! Once my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and there was no care in place for her due to a 22+ resident waiting list at The Springs, she was forced to move into a new community. ML charged a penalty fee of 3 months rent. The value of her apartment had increased considerably since she moved in during the recession so they were making a lot more money by her leaving and still they refused to waive the penalty fee. I asked the ED to explain how they could justify doing so, and to specifically state what alternatives of care they would have made available to her while she waited a year or more to get into the on-site memory care. I’ve been waiting for a response since 1/28/24. ML also tried 3x to charge us $9,091.15 to replace my mother’s carpet and paint her apt when she was on the plan to have it all paid for by ML that same year. Profits over resident care.

Excellent dining. Many good activities. Well maintained.
