Amazing Grace Assisted Living of Wellington is a licensed residential assisted living home in Wellington, Florida — six residents, in a house, with a nurse running the care.
Wellington families usually find us in one of two situations. Either a parent is coming out of the hospital or rehab and the discharge planner has three days to place them. Or a larger facility has said they can no longer meet the person's needs. Both situations are miserable, and both are what this home is built for.
Six residents means a 1:3 daytime staff-to-resident ratio and overnight staffing — a caregiver who knows the person, not a shift that rotates before anyone learns their name. Debbie Lytle, RN, owns all six Amazing Grace homes and personally directs every care plan. She has practiced nursing in Palm Beach County for over thirty years, including in hospice, and she is who you speak to on the first call. That call is a clinical conversation, not a sales pitch: she'll ask about medications, mobility, and behaviors, and tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
Because of that oversight, we're frequently able to accept residents with dementia, complex medication regimens, or mobility needs that larger communities decline — including people who have been discharged elsewhere.
