My mother has been a resident of Lynette's Care Center for about two years. She has received excellent care from Mariana Lobodanescu and the staff from day one. She has also received excellent care from Steven V. a visiting nurse. As an RN and a nurse educator for many years in New Jersey, I have never seen any facility here that provides the concerned and personal care as Lynette's Care Center in Phoenix. We just moved my disabled Veteran brother into Madison Meadows at 7211 N 7th St in Phoenix AZ. So far they are not living up to the expectations that we were given when we moved him in last month. He has terrible nerve pain in his neck, shoulders, arms and hands that leaves him debilitated at times. When he needs help, like a meal brought to him when he cannot get up from the bed and down to the cafeteria, he calls the office but cannot reach anybody to request that help occasionally. The manager even gave me his cell phone number to reach out to him if my brother or I cannot get anyone in the office. But all I can do is leave a message and wait for a return call. Meanwhile my brother goes without the meal. Sadly, if they persist in ignoring him, we will have to move him out to another place. Very disappointed so far.

This place was the worst. My mom lived here for two months before we found a much better place for her. The room she was moved into was dirty and disgusting (black floors, crumbs everywhere, cockroaches), the ac barely worked, the door didn't lock for several days and when my mom asked any questions, they would call me and tell me she needed to pay more (she was independent living) because she wasn't paying for this much help (she was asking how to get to the dining area, what events were occurring, etc.). The activities were horrible, several residents told us about how rude people were to them in assisted living and how they weren't allowed to dine with others and my mom went 3 days without food due to them not understanding that she was in independent living and not assisted living. La Siena has been amazing for my mom. She moved here from another facility that was just awful. La Siena has been amazing since day 1. She has been there close to a year now and loves every part of it. My mom walks her dogs around the property and by the canal with several other residents and attends daily events with others who come to her room to make sure she is aware of the event. My dad was well known within this community. He lived there several years in the independent living area. When he returned he was welcomed with open arms. During COVID, we weren't able to see him, so we would do Skype sessions, unfortunately his condition declined because of it. When we were able to see him again, we made sure to improve his physical condition. Slowly things changed with the facility, where they would say he pushed his call button too much and not able to feed himself anymore. Neither were true. I was there once, when caregiver came in and Dad was not in a position to push his call button and caregiver said he did (which was impossible). I realized they wanted him out of there. We eventually did leave because he started to experience PTSD because of how they treated him and what they did to him. My dad was a kind, gentle man. We eventually found him a good home, but he was never able to fully recover. He was 98 years old.
