The reviews for Bridgewater Assisted Living in Midtown Phoenix present a mixed picture. Many reviewers praise the facility for its friendly and caring staff, with some noting that their family members feel at home and well-cared for. The facility is described as bright and open, with inviting common areas like the dining hall and arts and crafts room. Some residents appreciate the safety measures in place, particularly regarding COVID-19 protocols. The memory care unit receives specific commendations for the quality of care provided. However, there are significant criticisms, particularly regarding management and staffing. Several reviewers express concerns about understaffing, which they claim leads to delayed responses to emergency calls and inadequate care. Some allege that management is neglectful and prioritizes profit over resident care, with accusations of verbal abuse and neglect. There are also complaints about the lack of specialized dietary options, such as food for diabetics and non-dairy milk. The facility's amenities, like the gym and theater room, are mentioned, but some reviewers note that these are underutilized. Communication with family members is another area of concern, with reports of families not being informed about significant health events. Despite these issues, some reviewers remain optimistic, highlighting the potential for improvement and the dedication of certain staff members. Overall, while the facility has its strengths, particularly in terms of staff friendliness and certain amenities, there are notable areas that require attention and improvement, especially in management and staffing.

It would be hard for me to recommend this community to others based on my personal experience working with the staff on behalf of my parent. Unfortunately, my primary contact has been very difficult to work with and seems to just not care. There have been several issues, including a lack of communication. The restaurant style "dining" leaves much to be desired. While we are keeping our family member here for now, I would recommend evaluating all options to anyone who is looking for assisted living.
