Whatever you do, do not put your loved one in here. We paid the normal rent rate per month, as well as an extra $1,500.00 on top of the rent each month, because she needed help to the bathroom and getting dressed. When January 2022 came, there was an increase of rent, which is usual, but we were also charged an 8% rate increase on the additional $1,500.00. Our mom ended up in the hospital for 9 days due to severe fluctuating low and high blood pressure. The Head Nurse there told our case manager at the Hospital that she could not come back to Brookdale until she could walk again. We were told from the very beginning before signing the papers, when they assessed her (Sales Director & Head Nurse) she could live her days out to the end as long as she didn't need a feeding tube, et. She needed nothing like that. We moved her out of there immediately. I asked the Sales Director why the Head Nurse would say that, and she really had no answer. She said she would talk to her, but we never heard anything back. Our mother only lived there 8 months. They outright lied.
