What families are saying

We’ve gathered and summarized real family reviews from across the internet for you. Contact a Seniorly representative for details.
The reviews for The Laurels and The Haven in Highland Creek present a mixed picture of the assisted living and memory care facilities. On the positive side, many reviewers praise the community's beautiful setting, well-maintained facilities, and engaging activities. The staff, particularly individuals like Bethany and Jordan, are often highlighted for their dedication, friendliness, and exceptional customer service. Events like prom week and the quality of food receive commendations, contributing to a vibrant community atmosphere. However, there are significant concerns raised by other reviewers. Issues with medication management, staff turnover, and inadequate care are recurring themes. Some families report long wait times for assistance, unclean living conditions, and a lack of responsiveness from management. The memory care unit, The Haven, is criticized for being understaffed and not providing adequate freedom or care for residents. Financial and administrative issues, such as billing discrepancies and poor communication, are also mentioned. Overall, while some families have had positive experiences and feel their loved ones are well cared for, others express dissatisfaction with the level of care and management practices. The reviews suggest that while the facilities have potential, improvements in staffing, communication, and care standards are necessary to address the concerns of residents and their families.

I’ve seen furniture out in the hallways, (fire hazard) laundry not washed properly, cob webs by the windows, broken air conditioners and window screens. I’ve witnessed a resident throwing up and not one med tech around to help. The list goes on..
