    Independence village is a warm and welcoming facility that embraces you and strives to meet the needs of all residents, as well as guests of the residents. First impressions often set the stage for your mind to assess another person or a place. For independence Village, my first impression was feeling overwhelmed because I didn’t know where I was going. Once I missed the pothole at the entrance to the first building, I discovered the Story Point Memory Care unit quite by accident. The lobby was very clean and the staff ready to help. While I didn’t know where I was going when I arrived, one of the first things I saw was a sign greeting my wife by name welcoming her. The person behind the desk had a big smile and opened the door to greet us. Wow! What did I say about first impressions? Everything was very clean. The staff was very friendly, and they want to help. The rest of the facility is clean, neat and very inviting. The main lobby is very nice and welcoming as is the staff..
