Emily has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families navigate life's transitions with confidence, compassion, and informed support. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University, Emily pursued her Master of Occupational Therapy degree at the Emory & Henry School of Health Sciences and became a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Emily began her career in inpatient rehabilitation, working primarily with individuals recovering from stroke, neurological conditions, and other life-changing illnesses and injuries. Throughout her years in rehabilitation, she partnered with patients and their families to navigate important care transitions, from returning home after hospitalization to determining when additional support or a higher level of care was needed. She developed a deep understanding of the challenges families face when coordinating care, evaluating options, and planning for the future. These experiences sparked her passion for helping others navigate care decisions with confidence and peace of mind.
Today, as a CareScout Premier Advisor, Emily works closely with older adults and their loved ones to understand their unique circumstances, explore care options, and connect them with trusted resources and support services. Drawing on her clinical expertise and firsthand experience navigating healthcare systems, Emily provides personalized guidance that helps families feel supported and empowered during times of uncertainty.
