Connie Perez (De La Rosa) is a senior care advisor and owner of A Tender Touch Senior Placement. She started her business five years ago shortly after retiring from the County of Ventura as a Social Worker III with In-Home Supportive Services and worked for the County 25 years which included working previously as a Benefits Specialist, Clerical Assistant Supervisor, Public Health as a Community Worker III and the Fire Department Headquarters as a Receptionist. Her passion for the Elders started at a young age when she joined a youth group that visited elders in the local skilled nursing facilities to provide friendly visiting and performances. As time went by, Connie's mother became ill with COPD along with other illnesses. She became her mother’s primary caregiver at a young age and was very unaware of the services available and how to ask for help. In having very little knowledge of skilled nursing, care, options, etc. she became very frustrated and felt helpless in helping her mother by providing the best care for her. Connie soon started her journey in becoming as knowledgeable as she could in learning about care, ombudsmen, rights, options, trainings, etc as a worker for the Human Services Agency. She knew that her experience and knowledge could help others in obtaining the best care possible as well as having the empathy in knowing how difficult it is to make decisions that we are unprepared for. Her passion for helping others find the right home is truly rewarding and knowing that she has provided the best service in meeting the needs of those who seek integrity and passion in a business is what makes A Tender Touch Senior Placement guide your loved one to a brighter tomorrow.
