What families are saying
The Hickman is a highly recommended assisted living facility with a warm, community-like atmosphere. The staff is praised for being caring, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The facility is clean and well-kept, with a mix of old and new buildings. The independent living area is older and has not been renovated, which some reviewers did not like. The rooms vary in size and price, with some reviewers noting that the rooms in the newer building were smaller and more expensive. The Hickman offers a variety of amenities and activities, including a library, game area, exercise groups, physical and occupational therapy, crafts, and group trips. The food is generally well-reviewed, with one reviewer noting that they provide three meals a day and always have snacks available. The facility also offers personal apartments, dining for all meals, and monitoring of residents. There is a separate wing for residents who become injured or sick, with nurses available to check on them. Some reviewers noted that the facility is a bit far from their homes, but it is close to a university and easy to walk around. Overall, reviewers seem to be satisfied with the care their loved ones receive at The Hickman, with many noting the warm, friendly atmosphere and the variety of activities available. However, some reviewers felt that the rooms were too small and expensive, and others wished the independent living area was more updated.

My mother who is very independent has been really enjoying her stay at the heritage. The residence at the community are taken care of very well. They have a lot of beautiful outside spaces encouraging people to spend time outside in the sun. My Mother has been a fan of their yoga class. I would recommend this place to anyone as the staff are very caring and go above and beyond. The food is very tasty too everytime i have visited.
