What families are saying

We’ve gathered and summarized real family reviews from across the internet for you. Contact a Seniorly representative for details.
The Trousdale in Burlingame receives overwhelmingly positive reviews for its modern, clean, attractive building and welcoming atmosphere. Residents, families, visitors, and employees frequently praise the friendly, compassionate, and professional staff, describing the community as warm, supportive, and family-like. Many residents reportedly enjoy living there, forming friendships, and participating in numerous activities, including bingo, exercise classes, painting, movies, performances, outings, holiday events, and social gatherings. Reviewers also highlight the bright common areas, well-designed apartments, library, theater, gym, salon, spa, outdoor spaces, transportation, and safety features. Food is another consistent strength. Families and residents compliment the chef, dining room, presentation, and quality of meals, although one reviewer felt that the menu could provide more options for residents with diabetes, celiac disease, high cholesterol, or other dietary restrictions. Several families say their loved ones became happier, more socially engaged, and safer after moving in. The community’s cleanliness, COVID precautions, and memory-care staff also receive strong praise. However, some serious concerns appear in the reviews. Multiple families criticize the $5,000 community or move-in fee, particularly because pricing and assessments may not be finalized until after payment; typically, only part of the fee is refunded. Some describe the sales and admission process as misleading or insufficiently transparent, especially regarding memory-care eligibility. Reviewers allege that residents with dementia or challenging behaviors may be rejected or asked to leave despite prior assurances, causing distress and family separation. Other concerns include high monthly costs, occasional communication difficulties, small units, limited outdoor access, caregiver attentiveness, medication-management challenges, and frequent family calls regarding behavioral issues. Overall, The Trousdale is viewed as a beautiful, activity-rich community with excellent staff and amenities, but prospective families should carefully investigate fees, care limitations, pricing, and admission policies.

This facility is owned by an RN and they’ve always provided great care for my clients. The homes are very clean and well kept. They are very easy to work with as well. I know when a family moves their loved one in that they will be in the best of hands.
