Altercare Newark North

This place is absolutely horrible! The staff let my Mother lay for hours without changing her. She would push her button they would come and say they would be back but wouldn’t come back. They argued with her when she asked for pain meds and told her she didn’t need them even though she was prescribed them and could have them every 3 hours! She heard someone refer to her as a bitch! The staff aren’t happy and some left mid shift! This place needs closed down! We moved her to another facility that charges $1,000 less a month and takes better care of her!

Amenities are non-existent, some of the staff is excellent others are beyond intolerable, the facility is grossly outdated, it is very understaffed, and the staff that is bad seems to have forgotten that they are employees behave instead like dictators, the majority of the food is inedible, the services they provide are subpar at best and the price is astronomical
