Thanks for asking, Michele! Different communities have different furniture available to elderly residents moving into their communities, so it's best to check with someone on the staff to get a feel for how much space your grandma will have and how many personal items she should bring with her.

Generally, a bed and dresser will be provided, but she may be able to bring a favorite chair and bedding with her to personalize the space. This can also help your grandma feel at home in her new community, so be sure to have a conversation with her about what items she would like to take with her, including family photographs, music players, and home decor.
