Thanks for your question, Deborah. The type of activities offered will vary by community, and they can range from arts and crafts classes to community outreach in the form of philanthropy opportunities and more. Activities may also include game nights, fitness programs, lifelong learning programs, writing and music classes that allow residents to continue beloved hobbies or learn something new as they age.

To discover what kinds of activities are offered by specific communities in the East Bay, you can use your free account on Seniorly to narrow your search. On our homepage, simply enter your preferred area, who you're looking for, and your time frame for moving. Our Carefinder tool will then walk you through the process by asking you a series of questions. You will want to choose "Assisted Living" and enter your maximum budget. Once you click "View Recommendations" the results page will pop up with a list of communities. To learn more about a specific community, simply click on the name. You can then browse pictures or tour the community through a virtual tour. You will also be able to see additional features and services provided by the community, as well as care services and the various rooms currently available.
If you prefer speaking to someone on the phone about your options, you can always give us a call at (415) 570-4370. We'll connect you with one of our Family Coordinators, who can help you narrow your choices and find a community that fits. Thanks for reaching out!
