Thanks for your question! In terms of learning activities offered at Lake Merritt Independent Living, there are many options for residents hoping to stay mentally sharp and engaged as they age.

The community offers enthralling lectures for residents to attend, led by stimulating speakers, as well as discussion groups led by skilled facilitators. The community is currently offering a four part speaker series. A variety of instructors offer lessons in anything from rhythmic drumming circles to art classes. Some local museums will even send staff members to speak to the community before they embark on a museum excursion, so that residents know what to look out for and what to expect.
Overall, this community is a fantastic place for someone hoping to be engaged in music and the arts as they age in place. Let us know if you need any more information and feel free to email us at ask@seniorly.com
