What is a dementia waiver?

Hello Fred,
A residential care facility for the elderly/assisted living facility can only provide care for residents with dementia if it meets the personnel training, fire clearance and plan of operation requirements set forth by Title 22 Regulations and the Health and Safety Code. Community Care Licensing (CCLD) will inspect the community, who is applying for a dementia waiver, to make sure they meet the requirements.
