My friend is getting out of the hospital and wants to come home to Walnut Creek. I'm worried that he won't get the care he needs at home, since he's still pretty weak after the fall that injured him. Do you know of anywhere in the East Bay he can go for rehabilitation?

Thanks for reaching out! It's a good idea to find care services that can help your friend recover before transitioning him home. The home can be a dangerous place for aging loved ones, with so many fall hazards and risk areas such as staircases that can cause injury.

A short-term stay in a care community can help him gain some of the strength back that will keep him healthy and mobile as he ages. Communities in the East Bay offer many great features including activities, fitness programs, and socialization opportunities that your friend may enjoy. With a free account on Seniorly, you can search for care communities in your preferred area and filter for things like budget, time frame, and availability.
Our comprehensive list of results will show communities that fit your friend's needs. You can even specify communities with rehabilitation programs, and save your favorites to come back to them later, or share them with your friend by email.
If you'd prefer to speak to someone about care options, just email us at ask@seniorly.com or call us at (415) 570-4370 today. We'll connect you with a Family Coordinator who can help you find exactly what you need. Thank you for using Seniorly and we look forward to working with you!
