I have early onset Alzheimer's and my mother has been taking care of me as things progress. I feel like I am starting to be a burden on her and preventing her from going out and enjoying life. Even though I am pretty young (45), am I still eligible to move into a senior living community? Thank you so much for your help

Hi Marie, of course we're happy to help. How wonderful that your mother has been so involved in your care, although we also understand your concerns. It is definitely possible for you to move into a senior living community. In fact, many boomers are finding that this is a great option for them to get the kind of care they need as they age, while opening them up to tons of great programs related to volunteering, the arts, fitness, and lifelong learning. The minimum age requirement will depend on the type of community, but luckily we have done all the research in advance so that we can provide you with all the best options on one easy-to-use platform.

With an account on seniorly.com, you can search for options in your preferred area, and narrow your results for things like budget, community features, and your personal care needs. You will most likely want to target Memory Care communities, which specialize in caring for people with your condition.
If you would prefer to speak to someone about your options, you can always call us at (415) 570-4370 and we will connect you with a care manager who can help you through the process of finding the right community. Once you book some tours through Seniorly, your mother can even go along with you, so that she can rest assured knowing you will be taken care of at your new home.
Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions, and visit our Resource Center at www.seniorly.com/resources for articles on Alzheimer's care and support.
We look forward to working with you,
The Seniorly Team
