Some of the main signs of caregiver stress are fatigue, loss of motivation, foggy thinking, heightened emotions, despair and hopelessness. Being aware of these signs can help caregivers acknowledge and recover from setbacks.

If you or someone you know is experiencing these symptoms as a result of the burdens of caregiving, there are things you can do to help out. Offer a respite from caregiving duties by stepping in to take over for a day or a long weekend. Gift the caregiver a box of essential oils which can help relieve some of that stress naturally. Also be sure to stay healthy using exercise and balanced nutrition. With a few lifestyle changes, caregivers can get on the road to well-being, which will make them better equipped to help others!
