Explore the River Park neighborhood in Sacramento, California. This neighborhood has a population of 3,565 and is a great place to call home. With its picturesque views, friendly neighbors, and ample amenities; living here isn't just easy, it's downright enjoyable! River Park is a suburban neighborhood that has lots of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Like other older Sacramento neighborhoods, River Park is mostly made up of families, young professionals, and retirees.

River Park is a quieter neighborhood than most. In this area you will find winding, tree-lined streets, riverfront homes, along with riverfront access to the American River Parkway. This quiet neighborhood is mostly residential and has ranch-style homes and condominium buildings scattered throughout that are well-established. Most homes were built between 1940 and 1969. Whether you walk down the streets or drive, the neighborhood has the look and feel of that era and a sense of Americana. Most homes are within walking distance of Glenn Hall Park. This enormous park hosts baseball, softball, volleyball, tennis, and soccer fields for you and your family to enjoy all year round. The levee is also a perfect place for a day of outdoor activities, taking your dog for a walk, viewing wildlife, having a picnic, fishing, jogging, or going tubing down the river.

Being such a small, quiet neighborhood there is a very limited supply of places to eat out or celebrate.  There are a few nightlife options with a few sports bars, a winery, and a few local pubs mostly located on Elvas Avenue. For a livelier night out people tend to go out of the neighborhood. But if you are hoping for places to go within walking distance there are several options. If you are looking for a good cup of coffee there is the Pacha Coffee Shop. If you are more interested in going to brunch there is the Orphan Breakfast House. If dine-in dinner is what you are looking for then there are tacos from Gordito Burrito, Chipotle Mexican Grill, or Nopalitos and burgers from Dad's on Folsom, Burger Patch, or The Habit Burger Grill.

Whether you are looking to live in the neighborhood or just visit for the day, you can rest assured that River Park is a lovely, quiet neighborhood to start your career, raise a family, or retire.
