Founded in 1993, Merrill Gardens is a fifth-generation family owned company with roots that stretch back into the 1890s. This rich history in excellence has helped Merrill Gardens to expand across the country, with 64 locations across 19 states. CEO Tana Gall carries over 20 years of senior living experience, and leads Merrill Gardens independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities.

My 93-year-old mother entered The Pines, Rocklin, memory care a month ago after we searched for the best. We picked The Pines and remain delighted with the choice. Excellent communication at every level. Outstanding management. The lead nurse is not only welcoming and caring, but a true professional and his entire team reflects that. The activities director is tireless, positive, engaging, considerate and caring. From the start, my mother says, "I like it here. I want to stay." The team makes a point to seat her at meals and other times to promote engagement with others. She also says, "They [The Pines] train their people to treat the elderly with consideration." What better testament to good management at every level could one ask? Kudos to the team.
