Enlivant Senior Living

With 127 communities across 27 states, Enlivant offers assisted living, independent living, memory care, and short-term stays to older adults. Focused on helping seniors build and maintain meaningful relationships, Enlivant communities range from cozy, smaller communities to larger ones with ample amenities just steps from residents' doors. The company was founded in 1981 and has been in business for 43 years.

CEO Dan Guill serves on the board of Argentum, and has led Enlivant for almost ten years. Enlivant has been certified as a Great Place to Work for four years in a row by the Great Place to Work Institute, and it's more than 7,000 caregivers give the company high marks for a culture of respect, camaraderie, and a sense of participating in meaningful work. In January of 2022, Enlivant became the first senior living provider to earn the WELL Health-Safety Rating for Facility Operations and Management for its entire portfolio of communities. The WELL Health-Safety Rating was developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, to certify that organizations and businesses are addressing the health and wellness of both staff and consumers. I recently visited an assisted living facility and was very impressed with the caring and compassionate environment. The staff were friendly, patient and treated all of the residents with respect and dignity. Each room had its own private bath, cable TV, refrigerator, and microwave. There was also enough parking for those with cars. The front door has a key pad for safety which is always locked. Meals are served in a large dining area three times a day. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for senior assisted living care.

My mom moved in here just over a year ago. They have a great staff and environment that are very caring and comforting. For the most part, they have gone out of their way to ensure her comfort and safety. They also have a sense of humor which, let's face it, you definitely need as your parent's age. I have had an amazing experience with Dorset Place. When I toured with my grandfather, the saleswoman was so compassionate and kind, and the caregivers all seemed to know the residents well and laugh with them about silly little things. It's got more of a home-like atmosphere compared to some of the other places, but that's actually what I really liked about it. If you are looking for assisted living, this place is worth a visit.
