The reviews for The Peaks at Mill Creek and Chateau Brickyard present a mixed picture of these independent living communities. Many residents and their families praise the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the sense of community. The staff is frequently described as friendly, attentive, and caring, with specific mentions of individuals like Neomi and Molly who go above and beyond. The facilities are noted for their cleanliness, modern amenities, and well-maintained apartments. Residents appreciate the variety of activities, including outings, exercise classes, and social events, which contribute to a vibrant community life. The dining experience receives mixed feedback; while some praise the chef-prepared meals and dietary accommodations, others express dissatisfaction with food quality and service limitations. However, there are significant concerns raised by some reviewers. Issues such as bedbugs, roaches, and maintenance problems like broken handrails are mentioned. Some residents report dissatisfaction with management, citing unprofessional behavior and poor communication. Budget cuts and reduced services, such as limited drink refills and snack availability, have also been criticized. The transition from Chateau Brickyard to new management has been a point of contention, with some residents feeling that the quality of care and services has declined. Overall, while many residents enjoy their experience and feel at home, there are notable areas for improvement, particularly in management practices and maintenance. Potential residents are advised to consider these factors when evaluating these communities.

This building has recently changed mgmt and pretty much the whole staff. The new mgr Bart is more about making money and treating it like a business. A lot of these people are elderly and this is there home. There are so many things that he is doing that is not right and might not even be legal to put down. Bottom line is please, if you care for your loved one, do not even consider this place. I have been in contact with several people who are living there and have told me what's been going on and how scared of being evicted some of these elderly people are. I'm hoping that all the agencies I've contacted today will be able to step in and put a stop to how they are being treated. The first residents that Bart tried to get rid of were the veterans. Good thing the V.A. stepped in and put a stop to it.
