Ridgeview Place, part of Trustwell Living, receives mixed reviews from residents, families, and staff. Many commend the facility for its warm, welcoming atmosphere and compassionate staff, highlighting individuals like Ellyn, Davida, and Travis for their exceptional care and professionalism. The community is praised for its well-maintained environment, enriching activities, and the ability to provide both assisted living and memory care, allowing residents to age in place. However, some reviews point out areas needing improvement, such as understaffing, which leads to delayed response times for resident needs. Concerns about food quality and portion sizes are also noted, with some residents and families expressing dissatisfaction. The transition to new ownership brought changes that some found unfavorable, affecting food quality and communication. The facility's size is appreciated for fostering close relationships between staff and residents, but some feel the medical care could be more robust. Billing issues and lack of Medicaid spenddown options are also mentioned as drawbacks. Despite these concerns, many families express gratitude for the care their loved ones receive, noting improvements in their social interactions and overall happiness. Overall, Ridgeview Place is seen as a caring community with a dedicated staff, though it faces challenges typical of senior living facilities, such as staffing and resource management. The facility is recommended for those who value a smaller, intimate setting, but potential residents and families are advised to stay engaged with care plans and services.

Our mom was here for 3 months. Caregivers are poorly trained and grossly understaffed. Staff are not trained in basic caregiving. Our mom could not walk or stand so she relied on the staff. Response time was 15 minutes or more and 30-45 minutes at night. Some of the caregivers were rude, and made my mom feel like she was bothering them when she pressed her pendant for assistance. Management did a horrible job monitoring their staff. Caregivers are understaffed and were preoccupied with other duties such as serving dinner, kitchen cleanup, laundry etc that helping residents suffered. Several times meals were missed or she was fed soup multiple meals in a row because they ran out of food from the dining room (If you eat in your room you are fed last). If your loved one needs extra assistance (showers, using the restroom, transfer in and out of bed), this is definitely NOT the place for them.
