The reviews for Hallsworth House present a mixed picture, with both positive and negative experiences shared by residents' families, staff, and visitors. On the positive side, many reviewers commend the facility for its clean environment, attentive and caring staff, and a variety of activities that keep residents engaged. Several families report that their loved ones have shown improvements in energy and socialization since moving in. The facility is described as well-maintained, with a good staff-to-resident ratio, and the meals are generally well-received. Some reviewers highlight the personal care and attention their family members receive, likening the staff's treatment to that of family. Conversely, other reviews paint a starkly different picture, criticizing the facility for neglect and inadequate care. Some reviewers allege that residents are left in soiled conditions and are over-medicated to keep them subdued. Concerns about untrained staff, insufficient staffing levels, and a lack of proper resident interaction are also raised. A few reviews mention missing belongings and accuse the facility of putting on a façade to attract new residents. The administration and management are criticized for being unresponsive and more focused on appearances than actual care. Overall, while some families are satisfied with the care provided at Hallsworth House, others express serious concerns about the quality of care and the facility's management. Potential residents and their families are advised to conduct thorough research and consider both positive and negative feedback before making a decision.

Recently my 99 year old aunt was admitted to hospital for low blood pressure. The hospital found that she had dirty compression hose on of which there were maggots under hose against her skin. I live out of state and my aunt has an elderly nephew that looks in on her. I called the Hallsworth House and asked what could have happened that my aunt would be ill kept with maggots under her compression hose. They asked me what do you want them to do about it. I said find out who is in charge of keeping her clean and get to the bottom of us. I told them my aunt would not be returning to the Hallsworth House. I was visibly upset and they did no like my tone and they hung up the phone on me!
