I was not impressed with the office staff… they do not return calls. The place is so dark and gloomy. We were rushed to find a memory care facility at the time and they were the first ones to say they had a room. When I got there to view it, I got a sick feeling in my stomach. We knew this was just going to be temporary and it was. As soon as I could find a nice, we’ll kept and bright environment for him we couldn’t get out fast enough. They do not have a phone in the memory facility so you cannot speak to your loved one. No one answers the phone after 5 pm . I believe it’s all about the money and not about the well-being of the resident. They are understaffed in the memory care unit. The people in the memory care unit were the only ones we established a relationship with… not all but, most. Management to needs to have a better routine to check on all residents, including the memory care residents. They are very vulnerable and should be treated with respect . Don’t put your loved one there

The best possible experience!!! We have heard of nightmares with assisted living. This was the exact opposite. They do not tolerate rude and unkind family members. They go out of their way to help through the aging process. They loved my mother and father. Even bringing them special treats and making sure they celebrated birthdays and anniversaries!!! We would choose PCH a million times over!

I would not recommend this facility. The staff is not professional at all, especially the director. The aides that are employed there are not professional. They do not look after the residents as they should. This should not be allowed when caring for someone. The memory care facility is the worst. They allow anything to go on back there. The residents have nothing to do especially on the weekends. They removed the TV which is all they had to do. When you complain to the director, she does not agree that this is going on and does nothing to stop it. She just threatens that she will not let you continue to visit or you can just move the family member out which is exactly what I did. I do not regret my decision at all. I would just say DO NOT put someone you love and care about there unless you are going to visit them daily to see what's going on. When you tour the facility they seem nice and kind and make it seem like a great place. Believe me they are very deceiving. Once your family member is there and they start receiving your money they don't care. When you complain they do not like it and tell you they will ban you from visiting. You are only creating problems. It makes me wonder if they have elderly parents or family members and if they would allow them such treatment. You can ask for the owner's number and they refuse to give it to you. I wonder if he knows what's going on. I guess they do not want anyone to talk to him or let him know what the issues are there.
