    Memory care area lacks programming in the afternoon and evening. Residents are left to their own after dinner to wander around and basically watch TV. The afternoon programming is also sporadic. There are only two caregivers for 14 residents on each floor. These caregivers are often in the rooms of residents who need extra help toileting, dressing, or transferring, so the other 12 just wander around or watch tv. They also use a lot of agency caregivers who don’t know what they are doing.(unfortunately this is true in most facilities because of staffing problems) The facility is very nice, the food is good, and the staff is friendly and caring when they can be found. This is a good place for people who have memory issues who are passive and just go along. It is also a good place for people who have their faculties but have physical disabilities and need lots of help. My loved one was there for 9 months, so I speak from direct experience.
