Shearwater Residence

We couldn't be happier with our selection of the Shearwater Residence for Mom. The caring staff, the open family atmosphere and accommodations are Wonderful. The fact that they keep the residents on a schedule and that they provide and encourage activities and meals to the residents as a group on a regular basis, which gets the residents out of their rooms, was especially attractive to us. We love the fact that the large rear deck overlooks the huge, rear manicured yard. The rear yard is surrounded by gorgeous tall trees, that provide total privacy for the residents, and, weather permitting, affords the residents an opportunity to be outside for activities, visits and to get some sunshine. We visit often, and Mom always shares how much she enjoys being there and that she feels safe. That's the BEST part for us.

Shearwater Residence is a beautiful care home that offers a full time chef and activity director. The owner and caring staff have created an environment where residents feel loved, engaged and safe. Most of the rooms have a private door that opens up to a wrap around deck where they can enjoy time outside. The families I have helped with placing loved ones at Shearwater Residence have been very grateful for finding such a wonderful care home.
