Julie Roca is a long-time resident of Alachua County who is passionate about our senior community. As the daughter of a pastor, she began working with seniors as a teenager and has not looked back. She has spent the last several years working with organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Association, various Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facilities along with local Home Health and Hospice. It is her goal to help seniors to live their best life and to make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s. She does that currently by volunteering on the planning committee for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and she is the current chair of The Longest Day event for the Central and North FL chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. She is a wife and a mother to a blended and beautiful family of six children and two dogs (who think that they are children). In her spare time, she can be found at her piano, on a kayak paddling the river, or hiking one of the gorgeous local trails.
