Keystone Pointe Health And Rehabilitation

My mom was in Keystone Pointe for over 5 weeks for rehab. The facility itself is very nice and has no nursing home smell. Upon admission, the staff seemed friendly. It didn't take long, however, for our favorable first impressions to be changed. Mom's room was not kept clean. She often couldn't get the attention of a nurse or aide when she needed pain medication or other help, even by pressing her call button, and at times used her cell phone to call a family member for help. If we, the family, had questions or concerns and called the facility, the call would go to voicemail, and no one would return our calls. My mom was discharged with extremely limited mobility, and we were not given sufficient instruction to care for her, which was a violation of mandatory protocol. So this was our experience: Nice facility, but inattentive staff, poor care, and abysmal communication. My family would not recommend Keystone Pointe if you are looking for quality care for your loved one.
