Haven Of Saguaro Valley

If I could zero stars, I would. Haven Health of Saguaro Valley was awful. My Mom was there for 10 days, and did not receive anything resembling quality care. The facility was understaffed & the quality of the people working there are anything but "caring". My Mom was supposed to be on a heart healthy diet, but received awful, spicy, non nutritional food. Many days, my Moms call button went unanswered for more than an hour.

The only issue I have with this facility is the caseworker. The care is wonderful, my mom loves the workers & all the care she gets. The case worker does not talk to or with the clients on a game plan for your loved one. I don’t know how it works or what is expecting of me when she is to be sent home. I had to pay out of pocket to keep mom there. The case worker told me it was “My job to have her discharged”, “It was my job to make a plan for her”. Wait, isn’t that his job, isn’t that what a a caseworker job? As long as he remains the caseworker there, I will not have my mom go back. He doesn’t fight for the rights of the patient/client on their needs. I want somebody to be a strong advocate not just for her but for others as well. Thank you Concerned family member
