Stayed at Cedarhurst when I was recovering from an attack of gout in both of my arms. I did enjoy my stay & was able to bring my cat with me. I am a rather picky eater, but had no problems with the meals I was served. There was entertainment & also some local bus trips planned for residents. If I ever needed such a facility again, I definitely consider going back there. I say “consider “ because it was sold shortly after I left.

My husband has been a resident of the Cottages for 5 weeks. I have been there almost every day and have had the opportunity to observe the staff and the care given to the residents. The staff are very caring and show great compassion to the residents and their loved ones. They are well-trained, very attentive and anticipate the residents' needs. It is such a tough job, but they are so pleasant and go the extra mile to ensure my husband stays safe and that his needs are met. The Cottages' atmosphere is very home-like and in a beautiful setting. The administrative team bend over backwards to help you with every detail. They keep you informed and are extremely kind. When I first visited the Cottages, I could immediately feel an atmosphere of love and compassion. That feeling has been sustained. I cannot thank the management and staff enough for the care they are giving my husband. It is comforting he is safe and getting good care.

I am so grateful for this facility. After 3 1/2 years in a expensive substandard facility mom was moved to Dominion Village. My 98 year old mother is thriving there. The care is top notch. CNAs and med techs are trained well. There is not that much of a turnover in employees. They show a high level of compassion and care for the residents. The management is kind and, knows their job and listens to my concerns. Her room is cozy and comfortable unlike the cold hotel style room she was at her previous facility. Best of all the price is very affordable. The cook is just awesome, she serves home style meals like mom used to make..they have fun activities and family events ongoing. They have A great set of volunteers. The nurse is spot on, and I feel comfortable with her care. I had lost faith in the system that there were no places like this left.. but low and behold there still are. I highly recommend. It's older than many new facilities but don't judge a book by its cover.

Wonderful place for a senior with dementia to live. Management truly cares. It's a privately owned memory care facility. The prices are very affordable,but what's best is the staff . They are caring and compassionate going out of their way to assist your love one. The empathy and true love for seniors is what I love about this facility most. My mother was placed there after another facility failed to give her the respect and basic care she needed. The rooms are cozy and feel like home. The food is very good, with a southern style like moms home cooking. The dining hall is lovely. Sandy the rec leader always comes up with fantastic activities for the residents, as well as outings to various places in Williamsburg. If I have a concern I am able to voice it to Tabitha the ED or Andrea finance manager, as they are always willing to listen and assist. Mom is approaching 99 and I am grateful that she has a wonderful home here. Thank you so much.
