We searched high and low to find the best place for our mom. That place was American House Orange City. From the first visit they made us feel we had found a home that mom could thrive and have fun. As we visited her multiple times a week we became a part of the family with our mom and the staff. From the administrative staff, medical staff, dietary, janitorial, maintenance and activities-everyone working there is plugged in, communicative, caring & understanding and ready to help. They go above and beyond to treat each resident as an individual and make a plan in a situation that best suits that family within the guidelines of their work. They held our hand through the painful process of how to make difficult choices for our mom and even through the painful goodbye. As a matter fact months and months later they are still checking in on us. There’s not enough good things we could say to illustrate how positive our experience with AHOC was for our family. Our mom, Patty, loved her AHOC family!

Safe to say they went above and beyond for my mother’s care. Especially when her health began to decline. They treated her like she was their own mom.
