What families are saying

The reviews for The Reserve at Royal Oaks and Colonial Oaks Westchase present a mixed picture of these memory care facilities. Many reviewers praise The Reserve at Royal Oaks for its friendly and attentive staff, clean environment, and engaging activities for residents. Crystal Xixitla, the Marketing Director, and other staff members like Dominique, Ty, and Jodi receive commendations for their professionalism and care. Some families express relief and satisfaction with the care provided, noting improvements in their loved ones' well-being. However, there are serious concerns about the management, particularly regarding Lydia Baker, the director, with accusations of restrictive practices and poor communication about residents' health. Complaints also include missing personal items and high costs. Colonial Oaks Westchase receives positive feedback for its compassionate staff and the care provided to residents, with specific mentions of staff members like Pat, Rodney, and Charlotte. Families appreciate the facility's supportive environment and the peace of mind it offers. However, there are grave concerns about inadequate medical care, with one reviewer attributing a family member's death to untreated bed sores. While some reviewers highlight the facility's bright and positive atmosphere, others criticize the food quality and management. Overall, both facilities have dedicated staff and positive aspects, but they also face significant criticisms that potential clients should consider.

I am so thankful to have found The Reserve at Royal Oaks for my father. The staff are friendly, caring and professional, taking great care of their needs. They communicate well with the healthcare providers to make sure that their residents receive the best care possible. I love that their are family nights where we can get together with other families of residents, meet some of the staff and enjoy a nice meal together. I know that my parents are safe and happy in these wonderful facilities and I couldn't be more grateful.
