I would highly recommend Summerfield to anyone who is looking for a great place that provides memory care for their loved one. What I love the most is I feel like my father has an extended family here. Summerfield will become another family for your loved one that will provide the love and care during those times when we are not able to be there. Summerfield prides themselves by treating residents as family. It is a night and day difference from where he came from. Prior to coming to Summerfield, my father was at Oakmont but we were deeply unhappy with his care there. My father improved so much after his arrival to Summerfield. He smiled more, engaged more and became a lot more active. The employees at Summerfield truly care about the residents. Residents are constantly greeted, talked to, hugged, and there always seems to be laughter around. Summerfield has a great employee to resident ratio. They treat my Father like he is family.

Don't lock your family.memebers up. They have no idea why they are there and feel abandoned. It makes them worse and they pace like caged animals. Visit often. Little surprised that no therapy takes place. It is clean and the food is institutional quality. Staff is attentive.
