our experience with fairmont has been wonderful, for the price it was more than we expected, food was good and the staff was very accomodating with our specific needs for our dear friend

Everything here is "nice" on the surface. On the one hand you have an older building and community that got new furniture and flooring, but on the other it lacks the technology and any "wow factor" for the residents to really benefit from. Take the "gym" with only 2 stationary bikes and no room for more than say 3 people and nothing else. Food can be pretty good at times, but I think their budget must be too low to really make tastier and well-rounded meals. There are a few employees that are exceptional and care about the residents, but they are limited to what or how they can help to make up for the lack of other employees or service. There is high turnover of employees (even before Covid) and never enough staff around or if you see someone they have to run around to try to find them, usually a Manager. I wonder if the residents really get the value they are paying for and were promised.
