About Brewster Place

Brewster is a faith-based, mission-driven not-for-profit organization with a distinguished history and unparalleled reputation for excellence. Founded by four Topeka Congregational churches, Brewster Place opened its doors in 1964.



At the dedication of Brewster Place on May 16, 1964, Rev. Ned Burr McKenny said, "Two qualities -- faith and imagination -- keep a person or organization young at heart. Those qualities are what it took to create Brewster Place." Today, we are Topeka's leading non-profit continuing care retirement community offering:



Independent Living Catered Living Assisted Living Skilled Nursing at Brewster Health Center Post Acute Rehabilitation at The Rehab Center (for anyone over age 18)



For retirees who wish to remain in their own homes but enjoy the social benefits and some of the other resources available as being a part of the Brewster family, BrewsterConnect is a very affordable solution for them! Our Mission
