Golden Assisted Living is a dedicated assisted living community located in Sylmar, CA. Costs start at $1,600 per month for private or shared studio or one-bedroom living spaces. The cost includes all maintenance, housekeeping, laundry and linen services. The professionally trained health care staff is available 24 hours a day to help with activities of daily living (ADLs)r including showering, bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, or medication management. The assisted living community staff also monitors residents health and well-being, and a doctor and physician's assistant both make regular stops to visit with residents and look for any issues that may have developed. Residents enjoy a variety of activities designed to provide mental and physical stimulation and to encourage social interaction. Music plays a big part in the community, with karaoke events, dancing lessons, live music concerts, and sing-alongs keeping residents feeling youthful and alive. Residents also enjoy movies, watching TV, and celebrating with other seniors for birthday parties and holidays. Raised soil beds and flowerbeds encourage residents to try their hand at creating and maintaining a garden. Golden Assisted Living also provides transportation for appointments, shopping trips, dining adventures, visits to nearby Nethercutt Museum, picnics in the park, or other excursions into the surrounding community. The resident culinary team creates three delicious and healthy meals a day, with after-hours snacks also available. The staff also runs occasional errands for residents for a store item or for a fast food order.
