Our team is proud of the history we have in the community. In 1838, Henry Vonderlieth came from Germany to settle in Mount Pulaski, just two years after the town was founded. His grandson, Henry, together with his wife, Jane, were the founders of the Vonderlieth Living Center. The nursing home initially opened in October of 1973 with 60 beds.

Today, our board of directors continues to manage the Vonderlieth Trust. Their expert financial foresight and business experience continue to ensure that our community exceeds the demanding standards of the long-term care continuum. Vonderlieth Living Center is a Medicaid and Medicare-certified skilled nursing and independent living community that offers a wide range of services including respite and hospice care. In addition to skilled nursing care, our campus also offers 23 independent living apartments for purchase or rent that feature one- and two-bedroom floor plans.

RESTORE Therapy at Vonderlieth senior care make experts in speech, occupational, and physical therapies available so our residents can get stronger and return home. We also have outpatient therapy services available to seniors who don’t have a permanent residence in our community.

We know that as bodies age, there are medical challenges. Our team at Vonderlieth Living Center is skilled in IV therapy, wound care, and electrical stimulation, including VitalStim. We also have partnerships with a wound doctor, dentists, podiatrists, audiologists, and ophthalmologists. These professionals make regular rounds on our campus. We also have portable X-ray and ultrasound capabilities and G-Tube feeding and management.

There are a multitude of things to do at Vonderlieth skilled nursing care to keep our residents busy and loving life. The library, guest dining room, aviary, fish lounge, and small private lounge are all available for our seniors. There is also a hair salon/barbershop on-site for our seniors to enjoy manicures, pedicures, and a fresh hairstyle.
