Vi at Palo Alto – a luxury senior residence - is uniquely situated: it is in the heart of Silicon Valley, adjacent to Stanford University, and 30 minutes from the beach and mountains. The 500-person strong community provides an environment rich with accomplishment and experiences, who share a passion for academia and a taste for elegance. Through the residents’ connections, the facility has been able to create activities like bringing in two of the principal singers from the San Jose Opera for a mini-performance and arranging a Charlie Rose-type interview for the residents as well as having ballerinas in the Center to give a performance, set up a ballet bar and demonstrate on how ballerinas train at the bar. Another opportunity made possible by a resident is the Center’s vibrant ceramics group and an artist group that has a popular art reception every year. With over 11 fitness classes a week, numerous cultural and recreational excursions, ongoing bridge classes, movies and more, the Center hopes to provide an environmental where residents can find something that meets their interests. In addition to offering independent and assisted living care, Vi’s nurses and caregivers provide a structured, comfortable environment to help residents suffering from Alzheimer’s to better adapt to their surroundings. For those recovering from surgery or needs more extensive nursing care, Vi has a skilled nursing program which includes assistance with daily living activities, scheduled transportation, case management including communication, and group and individual activities tailored to resident needs and preferences. With a number of floor plans to choose from, residents will enjoy a number of conveniences such as: generous closet space, a patio or balcony, spacious bathrooms with special safety features, a washer and dryer, and a well-appointed kitchen. In addition, basic utilities (water and electric), digital cable TV, and an emergency call system are also included in each home. Residents can have up to two pets living with them.
