The Barathaven Alzheimer’s Special Care Center is a premier Assisted Living and Memory Care community in the Dardenne Prairie area that serves O Fallon, Lake St Louis, Wentzville, Chesterfield, Lincoln County, St Charles County, and Warren County region and beyond. At Barathaven we deliver highly personalized, compassionate Assisted Living and Memory Care services that are designed to meet our residents’ physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Our team is dedicated to residents’ wellbeing, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Before a resident moves into our property, customized assessments are completed so individual care plans can be created. These care plans are assessed multiple times by our Health Services Director, Executive and Lifestyle Directors, and Marketing Director. We have a highly credentialed staff in our community. Our nursing staff consists of RNs, LPNs, CNAs. Headed by our Medical Director, we also have a speech pathologist, Certified Dementia Practitioners (CDP) geriatricians, podiatrists, optometrist dentists, and hygienists. Built in 2010 and updated in 2019 and 2020, our property offers a warm and welcoming environment. We have two living arrangements at Barathaven. Private studios or companion apartments. Most face the courtyard. Apartments are roomy enough for two people. All showers have drop-down bath seats with handheld shower sprayers. Personal furnishings are welcome. All apartments are furnished with full-sized beds, headboards, nightstands, and lamps. In the common areas, beautifully landscaped grounds and tastefully designed communal spaces support conversations and activities. There are two community living rooms and dining rooms, an activity space, a sun porch, and an outdoor secured courtyard. Our dining room features a restaurant-style layout with tables expertly set at every meal. Meals are a favorite time here at Barathaven. Not only is the food delicious but the conversation is lively and the desserts are divine. Our Executive Chef creates options for every appetite and need. All meals are expertly created from scratch, by our Chef and kitchen staff. Hearty dishes such as barbeque and pulled pork to mouth-watering holiday dinners deliver a little taste of comfort every day. Our dining room is warm, cozy, and inviting for everyone to enjoy.
