Avonlea Cottage of Gladstone, in north Kansas City, is part of the Avonlea Cottage family which also has locations in Illinois, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Avonlea Gladstone, offering both assisted and independent living options, is a smaller facility housing 60 residents. Formerly known as Kendallwood Retirement Apartments, Avonlea offers studio and one-bedroom, pet friendly apartments. Highlights include an all-seasons sun porch, landscaped courtyard, an ice cream parlor, and restaurant-style dining. All are welcome but the facility caters in particular to those who are veterans, hard of hearing, or sight-impaired.
