About Frasier Meadows
Our History
Located in Boulder, Colorado, Frasier is an independent not-for-profit, mission-driven community. We are accredited as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Our residents in independent living, assisted living, and in our skilled nursing center reflect the diverse and eclectic population of our well-known university town, which is home to the Boulder campus of the University of Colorado.
Frasier was founded by the Rocky Mountain Conference of the United Methodist Church. The June 8, 1958, groundbreaking ceremony took place on 20 acres of land contributed by Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Frasier. Since opening in 1960 with 100 apartments, Frasier has grown to offer independent living apartments, assisted living apartments with respite care available, a Health Care Center with short-term subacute rehabilitation, a Wellness Center open to Frasier residents as well as to the community at large, and a memory care center.
