Laura listened to me when I told her what I hoped for and what I definitely didn't want in a retirement community. I found my dream home the first day. She was great.

Finding Seniorly and Laura was a God send to me during my recent journey to find my dad a place for him to be safe. Laura listened with care and compassion on what I was looking for, for my dad. She got me in touch with some fantastic movers. This was a major undertaking for me, but Laura was by my side from start to finish.

What we think about Laura

Laura has gone through the senior living search first hand, so she's passionate about helping others and making the entire process as easy-going as possible.

About Laura

Laura O’Dea worked in the financial services/insurance industry for many years, helping clients with planning for financial security for their families and retirement planning. When her Mom began to have issues, Laura cared for her Mom and learned firsthand the difficult challenges families face to navigate the maze of choices and the financial impact this can have on a family. Laura saw an opportunity to use her previous experience to work with Seniors as she realized the growing need in the senior market with the expanding Baby Boomer generation. She and her husband, Ken, started Assisted Living Locators in June of 2014. She is passionate about working with Seniors and their families to help them navigate the confusing and time-consuming process of exploring senior living options. She feels helping Seniors transition to a new phase of their lives to continue to have quality of life is important. She is a member of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Council on Aging, Aging Resources Network, National Placement and Referral Association and Society of Certified Senior Advisors. She volunteers through a non-profit organization, Shepherd’s Center, that provides education and resources to Seniors, as a volunteer driver for Seniors who can no longer drive to provide them access to doctor’s appointments.
